Surface Maintenance Mechanic (WG-5801-10)
As a mechanic at FMS #19 my primary responsibility is to service and repair gasoline, diesel and electrical powered equipment for the California Army National Guard. When equipment is brought to the shop for repairs or schedule service I began my work by performing a diagnostic analysis using troubleshooting procedures as outlined in the FMS standard operating procedures and in the equipment technical manuals to isolate any reported faults. I accomplish this task by using the appropriate testing and measuring instruments; test lights, multi-meters, pressure gauges, and leak detectors. Examples of the level of repairs I perform are: scheduled preventive maintenance and services on quarterly, semi-annually, annual and biannual bases, repair and replace tires with the run flat system installed, remove and repair plastic fuel tanks using over-the-counter fuel tank repair kits, installing new fuel tanks, remove and dissemble 60 amp generators to replace brushes and/or voltage regulators, install generators, replaced upper and lower ball joints, corrected malfunctions of sending units and warning switches, replaced propeller shafts, replaced universal joints, replaced center bearings, replaced knuckles and geared hubs, troubleshoot steering system malfunctions, troubleshoot electrical gauges, replaced differentials input and output oil seals, troubleshoot hydraulic system malfunctions, troubleshoot fuel systems malfunction, correct malfunctions on fuel pumps, replaced fuel filters, replaced oil filters, replaced transmissions internal and external oil filters, troubleshoot malfunctions of air brake systems.
I than research and order the needed parts or make the necessary repairs that would bring the equipment up to standard. After installing a new item or repairing and reinstalling the old item I than complete the documentation to record all maintenance work performed on the equipment. All elements of my work is performed in a automotive shop environment where I am required to comply with OSHA safety standards that applies to hazardous material storage and disposal, personal safety equipment use and training, shop safety equipment use and training.
Some of the types of equipment that I help to maintain are: 1.25 ton utility trucks(Hmmwv’s) with 6.2 or 6.5 liter engines, heavy 8x8 tactical 10 ton trucks with load handling cranes attached that has Detroit 2-stroke v-type diesel engines and Allison automatic 4 or 6 speed transmissions, 5 ton 6x6 trucks and truck tractors with NHC250 Cummins engines and MT654CR Allison transmissions, D7E and D8E Caterpillar full-track dozers, 130G Caterpillar road graders, 60kw generator sets with 4 stroke 6 cylinder diesel engines, and more.
My secondary responsibility is to perform vehicle recovery operations using a GMC Diesel 7000 wrecker with an Allison 10 speed manual transmission.

Relief Night Auditor
As a night auditor my primary responsibility was to review all applicable receipts for guests that have checked in or out of the hotel, ensuring that the charges annotated on their folio were correct. I reviewed restaurant receipts to ensure accuracy of postings, gift shop receipts, and spa receipts to include massage and hot tub receipts for accuracy, after ensuring correctness I posted related charges to the hotel guest folios. After completing my reviews I had to ensure that all late reservations had arrived and had checked into the hotel and that any rooms available for sale were noted. Immediately after 2:00am I began the auditing procedures as outlined in the company policies. Part of these procedures was to generate the financial reports such as the sales journal, the guest ledge, the profit and loss statement, and the statement of cash flow along with the next day reservation report. The finally steps were to began the next business day by entering the company computer system utilizes and changing the date than rebooting the hotel computer system.
My secondary responsibility was that of customer service representative for the Resort. As the customer service representative I responded to the needs of the hotel guests to ensure a comfortable stay. Working the 10:30pm to 07:00am shift when there are no management personnel on the property, I was responsible for the welfare of the quests and the safeguarding of the hotel property. I was able to successfully respond to incidents like power outages, flooding and unruly guests. With the help of Mr.Wightman acting as proctor I completed a course in Resort Management offered by the Hotel and Motel Association.

Security Officer
As a security officer I was assigned to the Century City Medical Plaza in Century City, CA. My job was to monitor the fire control system for the plaza and to respond to any emergency. Additionally I was responsible for training new officers and reviewing the security needs for the plaza and making written recommendations. I was on duty the night the Northridge earth quake hit southern California, I was in the high raise part of the plaza, 16 stores, I successfully evacuated the personnel working in the building at that time when there was no power and the building was flooding due to a broken water pipe. I remained on duty dealing with various problems until help arrived.

As a real estate salesperson I provided counseling in the area of real property purchases and sales. I specialized in residential property priced at $180,000 to $650,000 in the Los Angeles area. I have negotiated on the behalf of clients with moneylenders, building contractors, escrow officers, insurance providers and, buyers or sellers of real estate.
I had to prepare and make listing and sales presentations. I provided reports concerning property valuation to clients and investors. While working in the Real Estate business I was classified as an independent contractor by the Internal Revenue Service, it was my responsibility to maintain financial records related to during business. These records included a detailed expanse account and a separate bank account, reconciled monthly. Time management is critical in this industry I became a student of planning my daily activity after completing the Century 21 Salesperson Training Program which included a course in Effective Time Management. I was a member of the Culver City Chambers of Commerce where I regularly attended social/networking events.
